Talon

The Talon story began in 1972 when George Sartin, who had a background in aircraft engineering, established a small engineering shop. A time served precision engineer, George produced small engineering jobs. Looking for an opportunity to expand and with a passion for Grass Track, George formed a lifelong bond with the Grass track legend Lew Coffin who tasked George with producing a quality Grass Track hub. This friendship and collaboration formed the foundations for what is now Talon Engineering Ltd, a small but mighty engineering company with a huge passion that has built a global brand.

The Talon brand has grown from humble beginnings, directly attributed to the knowledge, expertise and dedication from the team behind the brand. We are proud suppliers to many race teams, both in the UK and overseas, who trust and believe in the quality and safety of a Talon hub and Excel rim combination. Talon is currently investing in state-of-the-art automated milling and turning machinery as it introduces new products and capacity to its Somerset factory.
